The Challenge

A new entrant in the competitive oil and gas sector needed a brand that commanded immediate credibility and opened doors to enterprise contracts — without the track record most buyers expect.

Our Approach

We developed a comprehensive brand architecture from the ground up: competitive positioning, naming strategy, visual identity, and a complete guidelines system. Every decision was made to position Verve Gusto as a premium, dependable partner from day one.

Execution

The brief was unambiguous: build a brand that wins contracts before the company has a contract to point to.

We started with positioning. In oil and gas, buyers aren’t choosing on price alone — they’re managing risk. The brand needed to signal operational rigour and professional permanence before a single conversation happened.

The visual identity system was designed with enterprise environments in mind: clean geometry, a restricted colour palette, and typographic choices that read as authoritative at every scale — from proposal documents to site signage to digital platforms.

The guidelines were built to be used by a lean team without a dedicated design function, meaning every rule in the system has a practical rationale, not just an aesthetic one.

Outcome

The identity landed their first oil and gas clients within months of launch. The design work provided the credibility to compete with established players in a category where trust is everything.
